What is the registration timeframe for a well-known trademark?
What is the registration timeframe for a well-known trademark?
According to the Administrative Regulations, the timeframe is 10 months.
This timeframe may be extended under certain conditions, but by no more than 10 months.
What advantages does recognition of a trademark as well-known provide?
Legal protection is indefinite.
Legal protection also extends to goods dissimilar to those for which it was recognized as well-known (subject to corresponding conditions).
Legal protection may be effective not from the application filing date, but from the date the designation actually acquired well-known status.
What materials can confirm well-known status?
Materials confirming the well-known status of a trademark or designation submitted to Rospatent may include documents containing the following information:
