Registration of copyrights
Registration of copyrights allows owners of works to protect their intellectual rights and prevent possible infringements or unauthorized use. Copyright applies to literary, scientific, and artistic works expressed in any tangible form.
SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
TO PROVIDE LEGAL ASSISTANCE TO AUTHORS, OUR AGENCY FACILITATES THE DEPOSIT AND REGISTRATION OF ALL WORKS, AS WELL AS THE DRAFTING OF AGREEMENTS FOR THE TRANSFER OF COMMERCIAL RIGHTS TO LITERARY WORKS, SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENTS, AND DATABASES. FURTHERMORE, WITH OUR ASSISTANCE, YOU CAN DEPOSIT AND REGISTER YOUR WORK WITH THE U.S. COPYRIGHT OFFICE AT THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS.
Deposit and registration
To provide copyright object deposit and registration services, we require the following documents:
Two copies of the original work with a title page indicating the work's title, author(s) full name(s), and creation date. Each page, including the title page, must be signed by the author(s) and numbered.
Abstract (one copy) - a brief description (5-7 lines) of the work. Signed by the author.
Photocopy of the author(s) passport - first page, second page, and the page showing registration details.
Application form signed by the author(s) (form provided upon request).
Timeframes for deposit and registration
Deposit and registration of the copyright object are completed within one week.
